ABOUT THE SCHOOL >
Values & Code of Conduct |
|
The mission of the ESC PAU group is to educate
citizens who will contribute to the well being of Society. To
achieve this mission, a certain number of values and rules of
conduct must be respected.
The students, those enrolled in various teaching programs, the
Group employees and the teachers, whether
they be permanent or temporary, shall accept and appropriate
these values as soon as they join or work for the
ESC PAU group.
By undertaking to apply these values, everyone in the ESC PAU
group will contribute to creating a favorable
environment in which our mission can be accomplished.
Everyone, whatever their position, shall undertake to adhere
to these values and to apply the code of conduct
within the limits of their duties and their responsibilities,
to create a favorable environment in which the
mission of the ESC PAU Group can be achieved.

in human rights violations following the principles of the
International Labor Organization

and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining

of corruption.
- II – THE STUDENT AS THE
CENTRAL FOCUS FOR EACH EMPLOYEE
We believe that it is possible for Education to make the world
a better place. The student must therefore be the major concern
for each of the ESC PAU group’s employees, whatever their
status. The ESC PAU Group organizes itself around their students
and clients and not in their own interests. They refrain from
doing anything that would not be in the interests of their students,
clients and partners notably by imitating competitors, for example,
to obtain accreditations or a good classification.
- III – VALUES AT THE CENTER
OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
The following values are at the center of the ESC PAU group’s
educational project :
- HUMANISM : respecting others, solidarity,
tolerance, responsibility
- ENTHUSIASM : passion, audacity, demand, competence
- OPEN-MINDEDNESS : willingness to listen,
humility, respect of diversity
- NON-CONFORMISM : creativity, ability to determine
and live out one’s own originality.
- IV – DEMAND FOR THE CREATION
OF VALUE
To exist and to continue to develop, the ESC PAU group must create
value :
- for the benefit of their students by preparing
them as best as they can for the professions they will have
chosen, being at their sides to help them identify these professions,
in a personal way, without following a
model.
- for the benefit of their clients by helping
them to improve their personal and collective performances,
the
solutions presented by the ESC PAU group must be innovative,
enabling their clients to acquire a decisive
competitive advantage.
- for the benefit of their graduates by constantly
improving the value of their diplomas.
- for the benefit of their employees by giving
them a fulfilling educational mission.
- for the benefit of the PAU BEARN CCI by giving
them concrete profits on their investment
- for the benefit of the region in which the
Group is located by being an important economic attraction.
- Au profit de la région d’implantation
du Groupe en étant un facteur important d’attractivité
économique
- V – OUR OBLIGATIONS TO STUDENTS
AND COMPANIES
The challenge of the ESC PAU Group consists in helping students
understand the constituents of a competitive company, and in preparing
them for the fundamental needs of the company they will work for.
The ESC PAU Group is always attentive to the needs of businesses
in terms of employee profiles. They identify the most innovative
practices and best practices in the field of management to pass
them on to their students. The ESC PAU Group produces the best
synthesis between these needs and their values. The objective
of Quality, Excellence and Innovation is a constant concern for
each employee. This has led the ESC PAU Group to analyze their
results in a process of continuous improvement. The ESC PAU Group
measures their success by the customers they keep and their satisfaction
level.
- VI – DISCRIMINATORY ACTION
PREVENTION
The diversity of the students, employees and cultures, is a great
wealth for the Group and one of the conditions required for it
to succeed in its mission. The ESC PAU Group doesn’t tolerate
any form of discrimination or harassment linked to ethnic origins,
sex, age, religion or sexual preference, from its students or
employees.
- VII – OUR COMMITMENTS TOWARDS
OUR CLIENTS
Students doing initial training are not considered to be clients
in the sense that the ESC PAU Group doesn’t meet requirements
that they have expressed. The role of the ESC PAU Group is to
define teaching programs and methods that will allow students
in initial training to reach their objectives. The ESC PAU Group
has an obligation to advise their business clients; consequently,
they propose with authority and firmly defend the solutions they
consider best to solve their clients’ problems, in their
fully understood interests.
- VIII – THE CONFIDENTIALITY
OBLIGATION
Our mission can only be accomplished if carried out in a climate
of trust from our students and clients. This trust is mainly based
on the confidentiality of all information that concerns them,
especially personal information. Each Group employee shall refrain
from disclosing this information or using any information obtained
in a professional context, for their personal benefit. This confidentiality
obligation continues even when the employee has left.
- IX– OUR OBLIGATIONS TOWARDS OUR
REGION
The ESC PAU Group has committed itself to contributing to the
economic development of its region and its companies.
- X – OUR COMMITMENTS TOWARDS
OUR SUPPLIERS
So as to accomplish our mission, we must use the best service
providers. Each employee, including temporary teachers, must demand
quality, results and competitiveness from our suppliers. This
obligation is an obligation to be intransigent. The choice of
suppliers is always made following rules defined by the procurement
contract code and by the PAU BEARN CCI. The terms of the contract
must cover all the obligations of both parties. It is, of course,
forbidden for any employee to negotiate any secret agreements
with a supplier outside the official contract.
- XI – THE RESPECT OF FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS
Each employee is responsible for the good use of the Group’s
resources. They must respect the defined budget limits. With respect
to this point, each employee must make sure that expenses, notably
overheads, are strictly contained. Excess in this area constitutes
misuse of the investment and development capacity of the Group.
Everyone must respect the distinct rules decreed in this field.
- XII – THE RESPECT OF RULES
CONCERNING CORRUPTION
No employee may accept remuneration, gifts or other benefits from
a client, student or supplier, neither may they offer them. Only
gifts or benefits in kind of low value in compliance with commercial
practices and rules of good relations, and not contrary to the
law or to the regulations, may be accepted.
- XIII – THE PREVENTION OF
CONFLICT OF INTERESTS
A conflict of interest is formed each time the personal interests
of an employee, permanent or temporary, contradicts the interests
of the Group within the limits of fulfilling their work contract.
Each employee must avoid any conflict of interest by refusing
any direct or indirect financial relations with a competitor,
client or supplier in any area other than that of their professional
activities for the ESC PAU Group.
- XIV– OBLIGATION TO RESPECT
THE IMAGE
Each employee must have, both inside and outside and at all levels,
behavior based on the intransigent respect of the Group, its employees,
its students, its clients and its partners.
- XV – OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES
Practicing a professional activity other than that for which the
employee is hired by the ESC PAU Group, is governed by a principle
of general non-competition and by the rules of the employees’
status following (articles 1 and 1 b). Before signing their contract,
“Temporary” teachers must specify which teaching institutions
they teach or they have taught in over the last three years.
- XVI – PUBLIC ACTIVITIES
The ESC PAU Group respects the commitments of their employees
who, as citizens, participate or would like to participate in
political activities. All employees concerned must, however, abstain
from morally engaging the ESC PAU Group in their activities. IMPLEMENTATION
OF RULES OF CONDUCT AND VIOLATIONS These rules, which are not
exhaustive, apply to all the employees in the ESC PAU Group, according
to their positions and their responsibilities. They are completed
by the various rules set by the PAU BEARN CCI. In case of uncertainty
or doubt about the application of certain rules of conduct, the
employee must refer to the Group management. Failure to comply
with these rules will be considered a violation that may be sanctioned.
