On 20th November, PriceWaterhouse Coopers came to Group ESC PAU for a meeting with the students.
Group ESC PAU's Company Department, along with Pascal PAUMARD, Head of the finance Department, organized the event. Arnaud GIMENEZ, head of Company Relations at Group ESC PAU and Catherine COLL, Business Development Manager, introduced PriceWaterHouse Cooper representatives to the students. Pierre-Yves BOIX, the PriceWaterHouse Associate Director was accompanied by Evelyne PARENT, Head of Development and Communication and by Agnès GERMAIN, a 1996 ESC PAU Graduate working for PWC.
The three guests explained PWC's activities, which can be categorized into 3 main fields. Firstly, the insurance sector, that groups all accountancy and professional services for key clients. Secondly, the advice sector that consists of helping companies and organizations to improve and maintain performance. Finally, the support sector, where PWC helps organizations maintain development at local, national or international level.
Pierre-Yves BOIX insisted on the fact that PWC is always looking for new talented people to boost the ranks of the company. For the year of 2008 alone, Pierre Yves Boix has announced the recruiting of 800 young graduates and offered 400 internship positions to students!
This meeting was also the perfect opportunity for students to get a close feel of the company's culture and values carried by the international firm.
PriceWaterhouse Coopers gathers 146 000 employees worldwide, and is present in 150 countries with a turnover of 25 Billion Dollars. In France, PriceWaterhouse Coopers is established in 25 towns with 3800 employees. PWC France's turnover represents 561 million Euros. PriceWaterhouse Coopers is also known as a member of the "big four"; one of the four biggest firms in international accountancy and professional services along with Deloitte, Ernst&Young and KPMG.
Group ESC PAU will also greet soon PriceWaterhouse Coopers Luxembourg representatives for a meeting. Students will have the opportunity to share their experience with their old colleagues, indeed
many of Group ESC PAU's graduates are now working at PWC Luxembourg.
Initially scheduled on the 20th November, the meeting will take place in February 2008.
