Jess Wootton has been a trainee in the Corporate
Language Training Centre since September.
Where do you come from ?
I come from the North-West of England, from a small town called
Crewe, near Manchester and I study in the city of Preston.
How old are you ?
I’m 21.
What about your studies ?
I study French and Spanish at UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire).
As part of my studies I have to work in France to improve my French.
You have been in France for only a few days, what is your 1st impression
?
I like France, the weather is strange but people are very friendly
and welcoming and the food is great. Can
you tell us what your job consists of? Is it what you were expecting
?
It’s too early to say if it is what I was expecting as I haven’t
been here for long. At the moment I’m doing an administrative
work and I’m helping my colleagues…but soon I will start
the conversation classes with local business people who wish to
improve their spoken English. I’m really looking forward to
doing these classes. What
about the atmosphere at work ?
It’s nice. It has been easy to fit in because everyone here
speak English and because my colleagues are of different nationalities
it is a nice melting pot. What
do you want to do after your studies ?
As yet I’m not sure but perhaps I would like to teach English
in some foreign countries, I would like to travel and maybe to go
to Spain in order to practice and improve my Spanish. |
