   The French Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) offers financial aid to students and low income earners in order to reduce their accommodation costs. Here is the list of documents which are requested by the CAF in order to be eligible for such an allowance:
   - photocopy of your resident's permit
   - proof of residence in the area of Pau (rental bill, utility bill.)
   - financial resources of the previous year (special form from the CAF to complete)
   - a birth certificate translated in French (or an international one)
