ESC PAU Business School recently had the pleasure of welcoming
representatives from 16 of its partner Universities during the
2006 International Week.
This event was the opportunity for the members of our International
network to get to know each other better and to present
their schools to our students, who are still at the crucial stage
of choosing their work placement abroad. A series of “workshops”
were organised in that perspective during which students attended
presentations of partner schools, their programmes of study, the
work environment and the life on a foreign university campus.
The participants were also able to broaden their views on managerial
skills and behaviours during the conference on
“manager skills”.
Research activities were also a key theme during
that week, the aim being to establish closer research relationships
between ESC PAU Business School and its partners, especially as
far as the co-production of academic papers is concerned.
To get fully immersed in the local culture, our
guests were taken on sightseeing tours to the Betharram caves,
the holy town of Lourdes, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the
Basque coast, San Sebastian, and were able to have a taste of
Béarnaise food specialities.
The reinforcement of our links with our partner universities culminated
with the signing of agreements for 50 extra places for our students
on overseas programs, including :
- A one semester program of study at Kean University
(near New-York)
- A one semester program of study at the International
Institute of Information Technology in Puna (the education capital
of India)
Agreements have also been signed regarding Incoming
Mobility and the integration of hundreds of (Undergraduate
and MBA) students of the Ohio University College of Business each
year at ESC PAU.
ESC PAU Business School would like to express its sincere gratitude
to all the members of the different universities, as well as the
teachers and students from our school who took part in this successful
event.
